The Bi-National Baja Fringe Program is a vibrant, one-of-a-kind initiative that brings the spirit of the San Diego International Fringe Festival beyond borders—connecting artists and audiences from both the U.S. and Mexico in a shared celebration of bold, diverse performance. We are so excited to share our works with the world!

With a foundation in dance, she has built a global career as a performer, working with companies across multiple countries and appearing in large-scale productions such as Jubilee in Las Vegas.

She holds a BA in Dance (First Honor Roll) from Northumbria University (UK) and further trained at the SCAENA Performing Arts Conservatory in Spain. She has contributed to arts education as a faculty member at the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC), supporting the development of emerging artists.

Velasco’s curatorial vision is driven by a commitment to artistic diversity, innovation, and international dialogue, positioning Baja Fringe as a dynamic meeting point for contemporary performance.

“We want to share with you that Artwalk Rosarito is celebrating its 15th anniversary with a historic event: for the first time in Mexico, it is hosting Baja Fringe, the binational platform of the San Diego International Fringe Festival, as part of the global World Fringe movement. A key meeting solidified the alliance with international and local representatives, opening the door to a borderless cultural exchange that will take place on May 23 and 24 at CEART Playas de Rosarito with free admission.

With the presence of leaders from CEART Rosarito, the San Diego Fringe, Baja Fringe, and the Artwalk Rosarito team, the visit of more than 40 representatives from various countries, including Scotland, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Australia, Sweden, England, Abu Dhabi, Nigeria, Austria, India, and the United States, was confirmed.
