BAJA FRINGE – MEXICO: CEART Rosarito
Rosarito
CEART Playas de Rosarito — the State Center for the Arts — is a modern cultural hub on the Baja coast hosting galleries, theatre, music, and year-round festivals. Just north of Ensenada, it's a natural partner for Baja Fringe's cross-border vision.
Full description
Centro Estatal de las Artes (CEART) Playas de Rosarito is the fifth State Art Center in Baja California and one of the region's most active cultural venues. Celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2026, CEART has spent a decade building artistic life in Rosarito through galleries, performance space, a reading room, visual arts studios, and free public programming open to the whole community.
The center sits at Paseo La Cascada in Fraccionamiento La Cascada, a short drive south of the border and roughly an hour north of our home base in Punta Banda. Its programming spans theatre, dance, music, literature, and visual arts — the same disciplines that define the global Fringe movement born in Edinburgh in 1947. CEART joins the San Diego International Fringe Festival venue family as part of Baja Fringe, our cross-border initiative bringing artists, audiences, and ideas together along the CaliBaja corridor.
