Andrew Spink
In On Earth as it is in Hell, comedian and storyteller Andrew Spink discovers his eight-year-old has a paralyzing fear of Hell. Then, he learns that fear was instilled in her by his own dad — a fire and brimstone preacher. This begins Andrew’s journey and the show that follows: One of self-reflection, messy family situations, and exploration of ancient history — but with jokes! Andrew and his daughter end up learning just what the hell it is we believe anyway, and how our actions are often scarier than our beliefs. But again, like, in a (mostly) funny way.
NoHo Arts District says, “On Earth as It Is in Hell is a Ted Talk, drunken-uncle at Thanksgiving hybrid with nuance and logic and full of very clever well executed jokes.” Hamilton Arts & Entertainment called Andrew “an accomplished storyteller with a disarming charm and an authentic warmth onstage.”
Andrew Spink is a comedian, storyteller, and wannabe history buff. He lives in Seattle with his wife and two daughters, where he feels guilty for not being outdoorsy, avoids coffee while frequenting cafes, and walks his dog to fit in with the crowd. Andrew performs comedy all over and has been featured on The Moth, Story Collider, Ignite, RiSK!, Locally Fameless, and at the historic Unexpected Productions.
