And the winner of the 2017 Family Fringe / Youth Poster Art Competition is: Kayla Swift. As the San Diego International Fringe Festival focuses on providing a platform for artists to present new cutting edge works (primarily in theatres) throughout San Diego & Tijuana; it also has been working on providing more and more free programming and engaging family audiences. In turn, Producer Christa Kay thought it would be a great idea to take the initiative to provide opportunities for young artists. In fact, after attending the World Fringe Congress in Montreal, and seeing what other festivals (such as Edingburgh & Brighton) have done to showcase young artists, she opted to jump in and create a new opportunity for young ‘San Diego’ visual artists. New Zealand Fringe Announces Award Partnership with San Diego International Fringe

NZ Fringe Wellington is thrilled to announce a new award partnership with San Diego International Fringe that will see local lads Allergic to Love head over to perform in July this year. A late addition to the NZ Fringe awards this year is a new partnership that will see an exchange of art between San Diego and Wellington, the San Diego International Fringe Festival TOUR READY AWARD will see the Californian festival host a New Zealand show that premiered in NZ Fringe in July, with NZ reciprocating the award here in the 2018 NZ Fringe Wellington.
