A vocal absurdist and mimic since pre-verbal, db grew up imitating nature, machines, all the noises and voices from the television and family console.
He took not to the stage, opting for jobs in cemeteries, ambulances, fisheries, and fine dining, before moving to the midwest and blossoming onstage as a vocal acrobat and oddity.
Exploring the heavens for his lost father, his throat started buzzing and he came up with "throat-singing" in a sheep paddock in New Glarus, WI
A saucier of vocal fry, unhinged and healed. I'm here for it!

ABOUT THE ARTIST/COMPANY:db pedersen is a self-taught polyphonic noise maestro, performance artist and chef.
He set out for Indiana a few decades back just to take his chances against the warnings of Tom Waits.
A Cremationist, Fish Monger, Shepherd, Paramedic, Puckish, Paroxsysmal Polytonal Piece of Work, db collects
ironic stories like blocks for eventual quilting into the tapestry of his wanderlust.
He's a self-taught throat singer who resides in the neighborhood of Frank Lloyd Wright's haunted house, chirping over
cauldrons of soups, singing in the silos while they cool.
Collaboratively or soloing, he creates soundscapes and songs from thin air, not too holy to drop a fart joke, if the room
reads thus.
He sings with dance troops, celebrities, farm animals and children as young as utero.
He'll be in town for a colleague's PhD defense in choral arts at UCSD. For all we know, she might join him for a bit of mischeif!
