World Premiere true
ABOUT THE ARTIST/COMPANY:Lane, Maura, and Joel bring a combined 17 years of improv and sketch experience to the stage. Lane and Maura have been writing sketches and performing improv together for the past three years. They perform together on the independent team Literati and the house team Let Me Have It at Mockingbird Improv Theater, where Maura also appears in Stand-Up vs. Improv. Both are UC Santa Barbara graduates whose offstage lives inform their onstage instincts: Maura Fox is a reporter at the San Diego Union-Tribune and Lane is a product manager at the tech startup. Their comedic sensibility is witty and cerebral one moment, silly and downright dumb the next — often exploring the absurdities of dating and gender dynamics through the lens of two women who enjoy watching shows like Bridgerton, The Crown, Peaky The Vampire Diaries, and Outlander. Joel, who rounds out the cast as the show's sole male supporting character, performs locally with Kid Goblin, a Fringe alum from last year, and Jackie: the improvised martial arts movie.
