KISMET
KISMET is a two-person, actor-driven play about a Turkish immigrant couple who accidentally step onto a theater stage while delivering food. What starts as panic turns into storytelling, as they perform their journey from Istanbul to the U.S.–Mexico border and their first years in America. With just a few simple objects, the actors create multiple characters and places, moving between comedy and heartbreak. At its core, KISMET asks what it means to start over, who gets to feel safe, and how to hold onto dignity, humor, and love while trying to survive.
