Cam Poter is a Los Angeles-based clown, whose antics have taken him to the quarterfinals of America's Got Talent, a mime role on HBO’s Silicon Valley, and stages around the world with his award-winning clown show "Just To Be Close To You." He's won "Best in Fringe" at New Zealand Fringe 2026 and San Diego International Fringe 2025, and he was nominated for the award at Hollywood Fringe 2025.
Over the past decade, he has trained extensively at Ecole Gaulier, The School for Theater Creators (A Lecoq-Based Program), The Clown School, and Idiot Workshop. He's had the privilege of learning from revered clown masters—Philippe Gaulier, Michiko Gaulier, Carlo Jacucci, Phil Burgers (Dr. Brown), John Gilkey, Zach Steel, Paola Coletto, and David Bridel—immersing himself in the art of idiocy. He shares his notes from these courses on one of the dumbest accounts on Instagram, @camonclown.
