Mary E. Kennedy

Mary Kennedy was the recurring character “New Fiona” on Shameless, Season 7 and has garnered the prestigious honor of being added to the Shameless Hall of Shame for the final season on Showtime. In addition, this real life Kennedy, 3rd Cousins twice removed; all of the tragedy, none of the money, co-stars as Berniece, The Lunch Lady in Tales of a Fifth Grade Robin Hood starring Jon Lovitz and Stephen Glickman, on TUBI TV. You can also see her in the series Beyond Belief, Fact or Fiction Directed by Holger Frick through Superposition Films. One of the most fun, she had on set recently, was playing a crazed Chippendales fan, on HULU’s Welcome to Chippendales. In addition, she was a recurring, principal sketch actress on CONAN-TBS.

Films include, Tiffany Johnson’s film Girl Callin with production company REFINERY 29. Kennedy was cast, as the Waitress and it premiered at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. The movie Transport, where she was the lead character of Marion, just won, Hollywood Independent Reel Film Festival’s Best Horror Short. She played the supporting role of Sister Mary, in Silent Crosses, that won Best Short for Hollywood Night of Shorts. She also was in “Shattered” as Mrs. Searcy, Starring soap stars, Ray Wise, Molly Burnett and Arianna Zucker.

She just did the World Premiere of her new one woman show, Hail Mary, None of the Grace at Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2025 at Gilded Balloon for 26 performances and premiered this show in the United States at Whitefire Theatre’s Solofest 2026. Her other one woman show, Mid Life Mood Swing, has been on tour for 2 years just recently at The Second City, Toronto. Performing for sold out audiences on the east coast, including Mary’s hometown and just had a successful showing at SOLOFEST 2023/2024 through The Whitefire Theatre in Los Angeles, Off Cabot in Beverly, MA and Off Broadway at Theatre Row Theatre in NYC.
