SDFringe 2022

The 2022 season served as a triumphant return to in-person theater following the disruptions of the global pandemic. This 10th-anniversary celebration focused on the resilience of the performing arts community, bringing audiences back to physical theaters across San Diego. The festival featured just under 40 productions, emphasizing the “sparkling” quality of small-scale, high-impact theater. This year was also notable for the return of international touring companies, signaling a revitalization of the global Fringe circuit and the festival’s role as an international cultural destination.
